Highlights of foundation programs:
The Dixie Education Foundation, Inc. primarily provides educational assistance through scholarships for graduating seniors.  These monies are from corporate, family and individual donors.  The majority of the donors have generously contributed for the entire ten years of this program.

We also partner with our local high school with an annual Academic Excellence award program.  Each Spring, the high school recognizes students who excel in all major study areas.  Additionally matching grant programs have been utilized for the past five years.  These grants have been awarded for both classroom project grants, such as reading and math programs, in our elementary and middle school.  The past three years we have partnered with Progress Energy to provide scholarships for Dixie District employees pursuing degrees in critical areas.  In July 2007 Progress Energy awarded $10,000 to teachers pursuing an advanced degree in leadership, in preparation for future administrative positions in our district.
